I was riding my bike near the US/Mexico border when I captured this image.  This sight made me think of an African safari and gave me the sense of being somewhere much more interesting than where I actually was.

This was taken at the Rosecrans National Cemetery located in Point Loma which is a Peninsula that stretches out from San Diego into the Pacific.  I was wondering around near the lighthouse and tide pools located at the end of the point and stopped by the cemetery before going home.  I was just about to leave when I saw this couple framed in my passenger side mirror.  I thought the composition was really cool and somewhat erie at the same time so I pulled out my camera and snapped a few shots.

This was taken just after sunset in Newport Beach, CA.  I had some time to kill before meeting some friends for dinner so I went and hung out at the beach for about an hour.  The sun had just set and presented a nice opportunity to take a few pictures before it got too dark.  I was surprised this shot turned out the way it did, considering that I didn’t have a tripod and had to take this while holding the camera.
